Oppps, she did it again! Claire Danes is still the the Best Actress in a Drama category and this is her second win from her brilliant portrayal of the unhinged CIA agent Carrie Mathison.

Competing against Danes in the same category is House of Card's Robin Wright, Nashville's Connie Britton, Scandal's Kerry Washington, Bates Motel's Vera Farmiga and Downtown Abbey's Michelle Dockery.

The list of women nominated for this category offers a serious competition for the "Homeland" lead actress and to emerge as a winner in this year's Emmy is a great honor for Danes. In her acceptance speech, Claire Danes made sure to offer a special moment for the show's writer Henry Bromell who passed away this year.

"I have to take this moment to recognize our most treasured...one of our very most treasured writers, Henry Bromell, who won tonight," Danes said. "He passed away in March, and we just love him so much. He was a brilliant person, and so kind, and we think of him every day as we continue to work on the show that he helped define."

Dressed in her plunging lace detail loose gown, the 34-year old actress is oozing with old Hollywood glamour. Her minimal make-up highlights her dazzling green eyes which was lined with black eyeliner and black masscara, the whole ensemble gave her a classic movie star look.

Danes winning for the Best Actress ended the hopes of the African-American nominee Kerry Washington to win in the category. The former "Romeo and Juliet" star won her first Emmy in 2010 for HBO's "Temple Garden" in the Miniseries or Movie category, she was also nominated in 1995 for her role in "My So-Called Life" in a Lead Actress in a Drama category.

Based on the Israeli series Hatufim, "Homeland" follows the story of Carrie Mathison (Danes character), a CIA officer with bipolar disorder who is conducting an unauthorized operation in Iraq and was put to probation and reassigned to the CIA's Counter terrorism Center in Langley, VA. "Homeland" Season 3 premieres Sun., Sept. 29 at 9 p.m. ET.
