Emmy Awards 2013: Who Will Score in Drama Category; Is it 'Breaking Bad' Year?
It is Emmy Awards night on Sunday. There were not many surprises when the nomination list for the 65th Annual Primetime Emmy Awards was announced in July. However, History was made when dramas streamed on the Internet received nominations for the first time. The Web streaming service, Netflix, scored a total of 14 nominations for its three dramas series: "House of Cards;" "Arrested Development" and "Hemlock Grove."

Outstanding Drama Series:
"Breaking Bad" (AMC): IThe cult drama series, "Breaking Bad," has never won the Emmy for the outstanding drama despite topping the critics' praise list throughout its five seasons run. The penultimate episode of the critically acclaimed series and the Emmy Awards will air on the same night. According to us, "Breaking Bad" is likely to finally break the iron-grip of "Mad Men" and "Homeland" on the outstanding drama award and win it.

Claire Danes for "Homeland" (Showtime): Claire won the Emmy for the outstanding actress in a drama series in 2012 for her portrayal of CIA officer, Carrie Mathison, with bipolar disorder in "Homeland." The actress, 34, might repeat her last year's winning performance and walk away, with the top honours.

Aaron Paul for "Breaking Bad" (AMC): Aaron Paul's character Jesse Pinkman in "Breaking Bad" was supposed to die in the first season. It is hard to imagine "Breaking Bad," without Jesse. Aaron has made Jesse 'uniquely' his own. In the fifth season of "Breaking Bad," he has delivered another knock-out performance and is the top contender to win the Emmy for the supporting actor. Aaron's co-actor Jonathan Banks, who played the role of Mike Ehrmantraut, is also in the nomination list for the outstanding supporting actor in a drama series.

Neil Patrick Harris will be hosting the Primetime Emmy Awards 2013 ceremony on September 22, 2013.
"This year's Emmy Awards will pay tribute to the 50th Anniversary of two events that changed the face of our world," according to a press statement.
"To have an opportunity to look back at a time that represented television's finest hour in a program that celebrates so many of this year's achievements is what makes the Emmys special," said Ken Ehrlich, executive producer of Emmy Awards. "We are certain that viewers will enjoy this special tribute."
