English and Australian Diets that Save Lives
The most remarkable thing about these two health strategies is that it safeguards the physical condition of people and helps in preventing loss of lives.
The first was described as the English Diet that can save thousands of lives since it has been reported capable of preventing at least 8 out of 10 unnecessary deaths caused by heart disease, stroke and cancer in the areas of Wales and Northern Ireland.
Likewise, the same diet can prevent 4 out of 10n deaths brought about by the same causes in Scotland.
These are the new findings from a research undertaken by medical experts from the University of Oxford and John Radcliffe Hospital, according to the Belfast Telegraph.
The findings were published in a British Medical Journal.
The diet is simple - Consume more fruits and vegetables and less of calories, fat and salt.
The research showed that people who live in the three areas unfailingly ate more of the food mentioned compared to those from England.
The researchers observed that death rates for heart disease, stroke and cancer are higher in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland than they are in England the publication cited.
It is a different case in Australia.
Health Network published an article about Australian health guru Dr John Tickell who created the Great Australian Diet i
It is simply a mix of natural foods and natural eating patterns.
He described the Great Australian Diet as "anti-Atkins, anti-CSIRO" and emphasises the importance of carbohydrates in the diet, saying that the "two most important foods we eat- fruits and vegetables- are carbohydrates."
The Great Australian Diet is not just a nourishing agenda for eating.
"Dieters are given tips such as watching the sunset, hugging their children and other 'coping' activities, and use gentle exercise techniques to strengthen trunk and arm muscles. Walking is also part of the diet, which claims over 91 days to re-educate the body into natural rhythms."
Unfortunately, healthy as it may seem to be, both the English Diet and Great Australian Diet have not yet been chosen as the Diet of the Year.
