Hull City AFC will try to beat West Ham United FC and continue with their decent form, winning four of their last six games, two in the English Premier League and two in the league cup.

Spirits are high at Hull after qualifying for a final sixteen spot in the league cup on Tuesday, while they sit at the eleventh spot of the Premier League.

Steve Bruce's men are generally known to be composed throughout a given match and can come from behind to win it.

The Tigers' problem lies in its squad fitness problem as Maynor Figueroa (compassionate leave), James Chester (hamstring), Robert Koren (foot) and Paul McShane (knock) are all absentees, while Robbie Brady's (stomach) status is uncertain.

West Ham's performance in the Premier League has, so far, been disappointing but has found their way to bounce back at midweek in the League Cup, winning against Cardiff City to qualify for the last sixteen.

With striker Modibo Maiga's lack of scoring form, Anry Carroll (foot) injured, and Mladen Petric's lack of fitness, Ricardo Vaz Te may be able to get the nod to start for Hammers boss Sam Allardyce.

"He keeps on telling everyone that he creates chances and scores and that's what the manager wants - people to put the ball in the back of the net," West Ham assistant manager Neil McDonald told premierleague.com after winning against Cardiff.

"That's a knock on the door for the manager, he's available on Saturday against Hull and gives the manager a nice little problem.

Alou Diarra (knee) has been ruled out for the game, while Joe Cole (hamstring), Guy Demel (thigh) and Stewart Downing (leg) may be made available depending on their last-minute status.
