Chelsea will be hosting Cardiff City, while Hull City will visit Everton on matchday 8 of the English Premier League.

Chelsea vs. Cardiff

Jose Mourinho's men have yet to lose a match at home in their previous 12 games, winning 10 and drawn 2.

Goalkeeper Petr Cech will be making his 300th appearance since joining the Blues in 2004.

He will be joining Frank Lampard and John Terry in reaching such achievement for the London club.

Ashley Cole is still out with his rib injury, while striker Fernando Torres will still have to undergo a last minute fitness test to determine his availability.

On the other hand, Cardiff has benefitted from the two-week lay-off as it gave them time to recover from their latest 2-1 defeat in the hands of Newcastle United.

Andreas Cornelius will be the only unavailable player for the Welsh club as they face the Blues in the top-flight for the first time since 1984.

Everton vs. Hull

Everton are coming off a 3-1 loss against Manchester City on matchday 7 and Roberto Martinez's men are looking to bounce back and protect their turf.

They are also on a 12-game unbeaten run at home in the Premier League, coming up with seven clean sheets in their recent eight matches.

Nevertheless, Martinez is still optimistic that the Toffees can immediately turn the tides around as his men have been delivering solid performance in the League, early in the season.

"We're pleased with the start but it's just a start and we need to keep on growing," Martinez told premierleague.com.

"What we need to do now is carry on developing a way of playing that is going to be consistent and strong throughout the season."

"I feel the squad is ready to do that. That's our next target, to concentrate on Saturday and make sure we carry on with the level of performance we have shown throughout this season."

Everton are, however, marred with injuries as Darron Gibson just went down with a torn anterior cruciate ligament, while Antolin Alcaraz, Apostolos Vellios, and Steven Pienaar are all ruled out for the game.
Meanwhile, spirits are high at the Hull City camp as Steve Bruce's men have yet to suffer a loss from their recent four games.

Top striker Robbie Brady will come back after being sidelined because of injury and Bruce expressed that Brady might take part in their game on Saturday.

"Thankfully it looks as though everybody is coming back OK," Bruce told the club's official website.

"We're still waiting for Ahmed Elmohamady, Gedo and Maynor Figueroa to get back but having spoken with medical staff, everything seems ok so that is the most important thing."

James Chester and Robert Koren will not be able to suit up for the Tigers.
