"Enough Said" - "The Sopranos" Star James Gandolfini’s Final Movie
Known for his role in HBO's "The Sopranos" as Tony Soprano, James Gandolfini's last movie before his death in June 19, 2013 is set to be released on September 20, 2013. 'Enough Said" is Gandolfini's first romantic comedy film written and directed by Nicole Holofcener.
The film will debut at the 2013 Toronto International Film Festival that will showcase other stars including Julia Louis-Dreyfus (Seinfeld), Toni Collette (In Her Shoes), Ben Falcone, Catherine Keener and Tobby Huss. Produced by Antony Bregman and Stefanie Azpiazu, "Enough Said" will be distrubted by Fox Searlight Pictures.
The "Seinfeld" star will play as Eva, a divorced and single parent who works as a masseuse as she dreads the day when her daughter leaves for college. The late "The Sopranos" actor will play as Albert, a sweet, funny and like-minded man who also lives alone after his divorce.
The two started a romance until Eva met Albert's ex-wife Marianne played by Catherine Keener who constantly rags about her ex-husband. She then find's herself doubting her feelings and questioning Albert's intention as he confronts the truth about Marianne.
"Enough Said" features a sharp and insightful comedy about the mess of starting over and getting involved again. A romantic comedy that showcases Gandolfini's love for his craft as he takes on this heart warming film which is a complete opposite of most of his roles.
Before his fatal heart attack in Rome, Italy, Gandolfini managed to have another series where he was casted as one of the lead role for "Criminal Justice", a new adpatation of the 2000 BBC Series. He played a low-rent New York City attorney on the pilot series where he was reunited with "The Sopranos" netwrok HBO.
Michael Lombardo, HBO's programming president told the Television Critics Association on Thursday that he can't air the pilot with Gandolfini. Since he can't continue with the drama, HBO is rethinking to recast his part and the miniseries future is still a blur at the moment.
"Animal Rescue" is another film that James completed, a crime drama where he stars along side Tom Hardy and Noomi Rapace. This film is due to be released next year.
