Enrique Iglesias' fans were recently in gripe when the news about the singer's death hoax went on Twitter. Several Twitter users were tweeting #RIPEnriqueIglesias. The news of the "Finally Found You" singer's death became a trend after a fake report of his crash became widespread online.

The reports went on to suggested Iglesias was pronounced dead on the spot by the paramedic team. A photo ID found in his paraphernalia apparently identified the singer's dead body.

"Highway Safety investigators have told reporters that Enrique Iglesias lost control while driving a friend's vehicle on Interstate 80 and rolled the vehicle several times killing him instantly. The vehicle was believed to have been traveling at approximately 95 miles per hour in a 55mph zone at the time of the accident.
