Epic Games Unveils Exclusive iOS Game Infinity Blade 2 Trailer [Video]
During the "Let's Talk iPhone" event in the Cupertino Campus, Epic Games reveals their latest game Infinity Blade 2. The game is exclusive to iOS 5 and can be run by the upcoming iPhone 4S, the new iPod Touch and the iPad.
The game once again has the player in the role of a swordsman, fighting enemies ranging from other men and creatures. Like the previous Infinity Blade game, it would be a demonstration of the capabilities of the iPhone with its stunning visuals and gameplay.
In Infinity Blade 1, players assume the role of a lone swordsman trying to defeat the God King. The game will have you defeated and then assume the role of a descendant of the first character. This goes on as long as you keep dying in the game with the goal of defeating the God King, thus the title of the game.
The game is an action RPG with the action elements utilizing finger gestures to control the player character to strike his sword or block. The game is powered by the Unreal Engine 3 which also powered many games like the Gears of War series, Unreal Tournament and Borderlands.
There will also be an accompanying novel based on the game released by ChAIR, written by best selling author Brandon Sanderson. The e-book is available in Amazon, iBookstore and Barnes and Noble at the price of $2.99 USD.
Epic Games is a game developer which has under its belt games such as Gears of War, Bulletstorm and Unreal Tournament.
