Erin Brady may be the hottest bet for Miss Universe 2013 title but according to pageant analysts she did not choose her national costume wisely. During the "National Costume Contest" of Miss Universe 2013, Erin Brady walked on the stage dressed as "Optimus Prime" from the "Transformers".

The costume contest is an opportunity for contestants to showcase their culture and tradition and apparently, Brady failed to represent American culture.

According to Missology.com, "She effectively pushed the envelope way too much. Sure, we can have outrageous costumes sometimes but never had we seen such an irrelevant costume that does not represent American core values and culture."

We wonder what Erin was thinking while getting into the costume of "Optimus Prime". May be she was trying to represent the pace at which technological evolution is changing the world. However, as per the pageant experts she ended up showcasing excesses of American consumerism and its addiction to videogames and technology.

"We can tolerate creativity but Miss USA has been a butt of a joke lately. And while we understand the concept of show and awe, this has gone way too far. For we are not awed but shocked," quoted Missoslogy.com regarding Brady's choice of costume.

Before participating in the Miss Universe 2013 pageant, Erin was working as a financial accountant with Prudential Retirement. The 25-year-old Connecticut born beauty holds a degree in finance and is a minor in criminal justice.

She is the first person in the family to complete her education. Erin is passionate about running and loves to push her body beyond limits. She is a spokesperson for breast and ovarian cancer education, prevention and awareness and works closely with organizations such as Gilda's Club, Susan G. Komen and the National Ovarian Cancer Alliance.

She will be fighting for Miss Universe 2013 crown on Nov.9 at Crocus City Hall, in Moscow.
