Lithuania didn't have an ideal opener after succumbing to Serbia 63-56. However, Jonas Valanciunas and company stepped up in their second assignment, downing Macedonia 75-67. Latvia, on the other hand, cruised to 86-75 win over Bosnia and Herzegovina before edging Montenegro 72-73 in a nail-biter.
