Eva Longoria's husband, NBA player Tony Parker had finally broke his silence over reports that the Desperate Housewives actress had filed for divirce, following reports of Parker's infidelity.

The San Antonio Spurs player issued a statement to People, expressing the his and Eva Longoria's wish to discuss the divorce proceedings in private.

"Eva and I have been discussing our situation privately," Parker said in a statement, published by People.

"I was aware that she would be filing for divorce in Los Angeles."

Tony Parker had also denied that it was him who first filed a divorce. This week, Longoria has filed divorce citing irreconcilable difference with her 28-year old husband. She also sought spousal support.

"I did not file for divorce in Texas and did not hire divorce attorneys in either Texas or California."

"We plan to continue to keep our discussions of this matter private."

Eva Longoria had allegedly discovered numerous implicating correspondence between her husband, NBA player Tony Parker and an unidentified wife of Parker's team mate.

The actress said she found hundreds of text messages in Tony Parker's phone from a woman who Eva revealed, was the wife of one of Parker's team mate. Longoria also revealed that Parker has also kept up with the woman on Facebook. The woman is yet to be identified.
