Ex-New England Patriot Aaron Hernandez's Second Jail Letter Leaked to the Public
Former New England Patriots player Aaron Hernandez's alleged second letter from jail has been leaked to the public by TMZ.
In the letter, Hernandez thanked a fan who apparently has made a Facebook page supporting him.
"Thanks for the site... I can't check site there is no internet in jail lol [sic]," the former Patriots player wrote.
Seems like he's dying without the worldwide web in there.
Hernandez had written a first letter in response to his pen pal, stating his innocence and saying that "God put [him] in a situation for a reason."
He vows to play football again and prove all the 'haters' wrong.
He also requested that the letter be kept off social media, but it eventually found its way to the public.
Hernandez's pen pal, a man named Karl, recently contacted TMZ after the first letter was made public. Karl said that he had written to the former player first.
"I'm not that person to judge him... Let the jury decide if he's guilty or not, not us presume he's guilty like everyone's doing," Karl says on a phone interview with TMZ.
The pen pal admitted that he had also spent time in jail, but was long gone even before Hernandez was arrested and put behind bars.
"Don't get me wrong, I give my condolences to the victim, I wish I can support them anyway I can ... I'm just in support of someone I looked up to. The stuff I've learned and I've went through, I wanna pass it onto him and hopefully it can make him a better person," he said.
Karl confirms that along with the letter he sent to Aaron, he sent him photos of his fiancé and little daughter as he knows "there's nothing to look at' and help him stay positive."
The former Patriots star is now aware that his letters are making headlines.
Aaron Hernandez was arrested in June after he was charged with first-degree murder of a semi-football player Odin Lloyd after the latter's body was found near Hernandez's house.
