It is a rare situation that former lovers would really become good friends in the end. This is true in the case of Dwyane Wade and ex-wife Siovaughn Funches. Metaphorically, the ex-wife punches the NBA superstar as she insists for her lawful rights to bash him in public.

Wade and Funches finally reached a resolution for their divorce that was six years in the making in July. Wade agreed to give her ex-wife a magnanimous financial settlement. It was a $5 million settlement fee. It's just probably a small amount of money for Wade since he is earning so much for his professional basketball career. Forbes ranked Wade as the 23rd highest paid athlete in the world. He is at the 18th position, just behind Lebron James, on the list compiled by ESPN.

Anyway, part of the settlement include a "non-disparage" agreement in which neither Wade nor Funches is allowed to make hurtful remarks and ridicule or mock each other. The agreement is also extended to Wade's relatives, family members, and actress-girlfriend Gabrielle Union.

But now, as reported by TMZ, Funches has filed official documents disputing the settlement, stating that she has never granted such terms, including the "non-disparage" agreement. Furthermore, she wants the judge to invalidate and cancel the agreement out.

According to a report by Sun Times in July, Wade and Funches never really agreed to the provisions in the resolution, most especially the "non-disparage" agreement. It was Judge John Thomas Carr of Cook County Circuit Court who confirmed that both parties agreed on the agreement.

Funches probably started to get all concerned and worried about her rights to bash former husband because the latter is out to release his own book. If Wade is allowed to bash her in his book, she felt she has the right to do the same. What do you think?
