After the tragic massacre in Aurora, Colorado, Christian Bale makes a hospital visit to all those who were injured. "The Dark Knight Rises" actor also brought flowers to the memorial cross where the killings happened.

Oscar-winning actor Christian Bale spent two and a half hours on his personal visit to Aurora. He visited the patients who were confined at the hospital. He also extended his condolences to the families who were victims of the tragic Colorado massacre.

There were 12 people who were shot dead while 58 other were injured by James Holmes, the mad man who made a shooting spree at the Century 16 cinema during the midnight premier of "The Dark Knight Rises" in Aurora, Colorado.

"The patients were really happy to meet Bale," said Bill Voloch, interim president of Medical Center of Aurora. "They are obviously big fans of his movies. They wanted to see Batman and were really pleased to see Bale."

Bale was with his wife Sibi Blazic. They met emergency doctors, paramedics and policemen who responded during the time of the shooting. Voloch added that Bale spent about ten minutes with each patient, encouraging them to get well soon. The Medical Center of Aurora admitted 7 patients from the mass shooting incident.

Meanwhile, Warner Bros. stated that Bale's visit was a personal to the actor. It wasn't in anyway a publicity stunt for the "Batman" movie. The actor, together with his wife, went to Colorado in their personal capacity to mourn with the families.

According to Denver station, Bale arrived at the medical center around 2.pm. on July 24 and entered the building in private. Bale also made an effort to place flowers on a memorial to the victims.
