Extraordinary Sydney campaign kick starts to promote tourism
Tourism New South Wales has unveiled its "extraordinary Sydney" campaign on Monday aimed at attracting tourists to visit the city and experience its "extraordinary aspects."
New South Wales Minister for tourism Jodi McKay said the campaign is focused on attracting more people to book flights to Sydney.
At the launch of the campaign, Jodi showcased the new marketing focus of the city and the many interesting places to see around Sydney and the many activities to do during each visit.
She said that the drive will try to "capture all the extraordinary aspects of Sydney - its ethnicity, diversity, audacity - under the Sydnicity banner."
Aside from its food, culture, arts, fashion and natural assets, Sydney has many more to offer visitors, McKay said.
To give the campaign its needed boost, a number of famous faces have been invited to join the program, including Richard Tognetti - artistic director of the Australian Chamber Orchestra - and Layne Beachley, the seven times ASP women's world surfing champion.
Some of the most exciting places to see when visiting Sydney are its most famous landmars, such as the Sydney Opera House and Harbour Bridge, as well as its proximity to Bondi Beach. All these attractions are the main draw for tourists.
