Maria Jose Cristerna belongs to a devoted religious family and as a child she went to a Catholic school in Mexico. At the age of 17 she got married.She suffered contant beatings from his husband.
The domestic violence Cristerna have had triggered her to have extreme tattoo nearly 100 percent of her body as a way of expressing strength .
She also has multiple face piercings and titanium implants to create "horns" under the skin on her temples and forehead.
The mother of four lives a normal life despite of all the face piercings and horns she has. Also, she proclaims that she has always loved the concept vampires' existence.
For her immitating how a vampire looks through tattoo is her way of being 'immortal.' Vampires are shown in the movies as immortal beings.
