Facebook launches "Town Hall" application for 2010 US mid-term election
Facebook participates in the 2010 US mid-term election through an application on the social networking website VOTE 2010 ABC TOWN HALL.
The application features live streaming video with ABC broadcasters giving a blow-by-blow account of the ongoing mid-term election today in the US. It also gives users of the application the option to ask questions to Facebook, ABC News, or members of the audience about the 2010 US mid-term election.
The video streaming shows reports from Facebook users and their comments on the event. At present, the Facebook application has a poll on various important issues deemed important in the election. The application currently polls visitors on issues such as their Political Affiliation, the Election Results, Economic Stimulus, Gay Marriage, Imigration Laws, US in the Afghanistan and the US Enviroment.
The application is sponsored by ABC News, Arizona State University, and Facebook.
