Facebook leads Cher to meeting new man
It's not uncommon for people to register in social networking sites to meet potential dates, but a Hollywood star may be the last person to come rushing to Twitter or Facebook to meet new friends. But apparently, they do, at least singer Cher did.
The iconic singer Cher is on Facebook and not just on a Cher fanpage, but her own private account which she uses to meet men! The Oscar winner was convinced by a friend after Cher complained about having difficulty meeting men in Vegas where she has a longstanding show at the Caesar's Palace.
Cher reportedly accomplished her goal, as her Burlesque co-star say Cher met someone special via Mark Zuckerberg's social network.
"He thought she was an impersonator in Vegas," said Chelsea Traille, who plays a dancer in Cher's comeback film Burlesque. "His friend was like, 'That's Cher you idiot!' He asked her and she was like, 'Yeah, that's me.' They met, they hang out. Now they're best friends."
Whether the man Traille is referring to is Cher's current boyfriend comic writer Ron Zimmerman. But the couple are indeed Facebook friends.
Cher will be seen again on-screen in Burlesque, an upcoming American contemporary musical film directed and written by Steve Antin and co-starring Christina Aguilera. The film won Best Future Feature in NewNowNext awards.
