The invitations to the Royal Wedding of Prince William and Kate Middleton were sent out to the doorsteps of prominent individuals on the third week of February.

Almost two thousand individuals were jointly chosen by the Royal couple in consultation with the Palace officials and the golden-embossed invitations were issued in the name of The Queen.

Here’s the breakdown of guests, invited to the wedding in numbers
* 1,900
– guests who have been invited to the service at Westminster Abbey.

* 650 – guests who have been invited to the lunchtime reception at Buckingham Palace given by The Queen.

* 300 – guests who have been invited to the dinner at Buckingham Palace given by The Prince of Wales.

* 1000 – the majority of the guests drawn from the immediate family of Prince William and Kate Middleton.

* (More than ) 50 – the members of the Royal Family

* (More than ) 40 - the members of Foreign Royal families

* (More than ) 200 - members of Government, Parliament and Diplomatic Corps

*(Approximately) 80 - guests from Prince William’s charities, including those the Prince has known for some time and those who are not in senior positions

* 60 – the Governors-General and Realm Prime Ministers

*30 – the members of the Defense Services

*30 – the estimated numbers of guests from the members of the church

* 10 – celebrity guests and other television personalities
