Fair and Square: Floyd Mayweather Jr Aims To Promote MMA Events and Equal Pays
The American undefeated boxer, Floyd Mayweather Jr is on the way for another career expansion as a promoter for MMA events. The 37-year-old made it to the point that the players be paid in an acceptable amount.
Just recently, Mayweather was given a license granting him to promote significant events under Mayweather Promotions and is clearly ready to go along with the other MMA organisations that are already making a mark in the industry.
In an interview with Fight Hype, he reiterated that if one wants to be treated fair enough, they should head to Mayweather Promotions.
"We believe in the talent winning," Mayweather said. "That's what we believe in. We believe in treating our boxers and our MMA fighters fair." The boxing superstar is keen to have more MMA fighters to get along with Mayweather Promotions.
Mayweather really knows a couple of things about getting paid. Few months ago, Forbes announced that he is the highest paid athlete for 2014, as he earned $105 million in just a year. With his career earnings in the boxing arena of approximately $400 million, he has the attention of the media that comes in handy for promotions. Needless to say, Mayweather is one of the biggest influences to look forward to as he wants to make it through the MMA fandom.
Apart from the aforementioned, the American boxer also dreams of establishing his own MMA show and create champions. Mayweather is a dynamic kind of person who loves exploring. Versatility and open-mindedness are two of his most important virtues. Fairness is what he also advocates as he heard that MMA fighters are not being paid the right way. Mayweather wants something productive and established for the MMA fighters so that they'll be able to take a lead - to be the champions they deserve to be.
Meanwhile, Mayweather recently welcomed Miguel Cotto and Saul "Canelo" Alvarez to fight on the same date as his fights in May and September 2015 as he thinks that his pay-per-view figures are way better than those two of the fighters. He strongly believes that boxing fans prefer to watch him than the two fighters.
