‘Fallout 4’ Survival Mode teased as new Automatron DLC boasts more content
Bethesda has finally updated fans on the current situation of the Survival Mode beta for “Fallout 4.” It appears that the developer is expecting the beta to go live next week via Steam for those who are playing the game on PC.
In a new tweet by Bethesda, seen by GameSpot, the developer confirmed that PC users are slated to enjoy the beta first, though the release date has yet to be finalised. The report added that console versions PS4 and Xbox One will get the Survival Mode once it’s already ready for an official release.

For now, the release date window is still undecided, but Bethesda is looking positive about what will be added in the game. Gamepur added that there will be a ton of things more to do with the “Fallout 4” Survival Mode.
The developer stated that the goal was not to make it harder per se. It just becomes harder with all of the things that need to be done at roughly the same time, while also being faced with new mechanics. Among these things include having new diseases in the Wasteland, limit in travel and even save games limited to when the character sleeps. Combat is also slated for a big change, as it will become more aggressive to suit the mode’s name.
“We want the combat to feel different, as opposed to just being a bullet sponge,” said “Fallout 4” Game Director Todd Howard to Gamepur.
While waiting for the “Fallout 4” Survival Mode beta to come out, players can busy themselves with the newly released Automatron DLC. It seems that Bethesda has delivered a pretty good expansion, as it introduces a new companion who can actually be modded at the workbench.
VG 247 noted that every robot encounter is a surprise, which adds an element to the adventure that Automatron brings. It surpasses a crafting and accessories DLC, as there is even a boss battle that is worth preparing for, in terms of robot wars. “Fallout 4” players can also expect new gear, new dungeons and a lot of crafting materials to build the ultimate robot.
