Fans Crash Vevo Site After Lorde Releases Music Video For ‘Team’
Lorde has inadvertently crashed the music video Web site Vevo after her fans flocked to watch her newly released single “Team.” The demand for the Kiwi teen singer’s video was so high that its YouTube page was unable to accommodate all.
The video was uploaded on Vevo’s YouTube page on Wednesday morning in New Zealand, but within minutes, it has become inaccessible.
It turned out that fans were so excited to see the new clip since Lorde announced the exact time of its launch that everyone tuned in on the site at the same time.
i think you're all overloading the video... let it breathe! hehe

Fortunately, the site was back up in an hour.
She explained how she imagined the “Team” music video would be like in a post on her Facebook page.
“this video was borne from a dream i had a few months ago about teenagers in their own world, a world with hierarchies and initiations, where the boys who was second in command had acne on his face, and so did the girl who was queen. i dreamt about this world being so different to anything anyone had ever seen, a dark world of tropical plants and ruins and sweat. And of this world, i dreamt about tests that didn’t need to be passed in order to be allowed in: sometimes the person who loses is stronger. enjoy xx” (sic)
With the success of her new single so far, it’s probably safe to say that Lorde isn’t a one-hit wonder anymore.
Meanwhile, it seems like Lorde has made a new friend with Taylor Swift. After the two were spotted getting lunch together in New York a few weeks ago, she has been seen getting chummy with the multi-award-winning American singer as the latter performed in her hometown of Auckland.
