The second period of the second phase of ticket sales for the 2014 Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) World Cup has started, and within just a few hours, more than 200,000 tickets were sold all over the world.

The sales period started on March 12 and it will end on April 1, 2014, according to the official Web site of FIFA. A total of 203,330 tickets out of the 360,000 allocated tickets for sale have been sold out. Note that all spectators, regardless of age, are required to purchase a ticket if they want to have real-time view of the match inside the stadium. Even children who want to witness the huge sporting tournament should first secure their tickets.

In a news article by The Sydney Morning Herald, FIFA's official Web site has reportedly been disabled for a couple of days before it reopened at approximately 10 o'clock in the evening, Sydney time. The most popular matches that feature the host country Brazil, Argentina, Spain, and Germany were sold out in a jiffy.

Australia's match against Spain in Curitiba were among the first to have gotten sold out, leaving many Socceroos fans frustrated. What is more? Well, the tickets for the said match are being sold on eBay at ridiculous prices. The original ticket price equivalent to $90 are being sold up to as much as $700. Even tickets for a quarterfinals match in Brasilia and a finals match in Rio de Janeiro sell at $2,000 and $4,900, respectively.
