Is One Direction band member, Niall Horan visiting family in Australia on a holiday? The English-Irish boy band is currently on a break from touring and what other best place to spend time than with family?

It is the case for Niall, who is said to be Down Under following a fan sighting at the customs in Melbourne airport.

A photo believed to be Niall was posted on Twitter late Monday, Sept. 9 showing the boy band member passing through customs. It was shared by @sophdidomenico on Twitter. Soon, #NiallisinMelbourne is trending in the social media network. According to the Herald Sun, fan Chris Maheras even tweeted telling his friends that not only he spotted the star but he also had the chance to shake hands with him in Melbourne’s CBD.

Maheras tweeted: "Niall is in Melbourne and I just saw him in the city!! Everyone was freaking out!! Shook his hand. Nice guy."

The Age later debunked Maheras tweet as the fan later admitted in an interview with FoxFM radio Tuesday morning that he was just having a bit of fun and he just “made up” the tweet he subsequently deleted. The original photo shared on Twitter is apparently legit.

The rep for One Direction has yet to respond to queries if indeed Niall is spending some holiday time with family in Australia.

His family was in the headlines recently making assertion that they will never spend a single penny from Niall’s €30million savings. Following the success of One Direction group, Niall apparently was able to save much of his earnings, almost making him set for life. Irish Mirror noted that the Mullingar star have emphasized that even if he tried to share his blessings to his family, they wouldn’t even touch it.

He said in an interview that one of the things he loves about his success is being able to provide for his family, especially the ones that they need.

“Something I love about having some success is being able to treat my friends but I would hate for anyone to think I was trying to show off,” Niall said, according to Irish Mirror, before adding “I paid off my mum’s mortgage and brought her a car – things I knew she needed – but I don’t buy extravagant gifts all the time.”

“I tried to give some money to my dad but he wouldn’t take it. He’ll barely take a Christmas present off of me. I want to do up the house he lives in but at the same time I don’t want to be the idiot who walks in and throws money around.”

Though he was born in Mullingar, County Westmeath, Ireland, Nial’s family is currently based in Australia. Before he shot to fame following the success of One Direction from X-Factor UK in 2010, Nial has been performing since he was little and has always loved to play guitar since he was a child. He loves rock music and declared The Eagler, Bon Jovi, The Script and even Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin and Michael Buble as among his favorites.
