It's been months since nude photos of Jennifer Lawrence were leaked in one of the most massive celebrity hacks called as "The Fappening." The first leak was reportedly on August with a representative telling media that the actress has taken legal action against the still-unknown culprit. However, Lawrence has remained mum until recently, when she finally broke her silence against the scandal and hinted the photos were meant for her ex-boyfriend Nicholas Hoult.

The 24-year-old graces the cover on the November issue of Vanity Fair magazine. In it she expressed her anger at the apparent violation of privacy.

"Just because I'm a public figure, just because I'm an actress, does not mean that I asked for this," she said.

Jennifer Lawrence claimed she almost released a statement in response to the scandal. However, her anger and tears at "every single thing" she wrote stopped her. She told VF's contributing editor Sam Kashner that she also wanted to write an apology for the nude photos, but claimed there was nothing to apologise for. Her nude selfies were apparently taken without regret as Sky News claims they were probably meant for her ex-boyfriend, Nicholas Hoult. Likewise, Lawrence hinted the leaked nude photos were for her "X-Men" co-star whom she had "a loving, healthy, great relationship for four years."

"It was long distance and either your boyfriend is going to look at porn or he's going to look at you," she said.

The couple's relationship saw its end just recently. Reports claimed the split was confirmed in early August, although, they have supposedly already called it quits in May, according to Mirror UK. But there's reportedly no bad blood between the two stars. A source told Eonline that Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult's breakup was done on amicable terms. Apparently, their successful careers have taken a toll on their relationship. The couple hadn't been spending a lot of quality time together due to their busy schedule, which eventually led to their split.

However, speculations have it that Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult may soon rekindle their romance when they film "X-Men: Apocalypse." The couple reportedly broke up before in 2012 and got back together when they filmed Bryan Singer's "X-Men: Days of Future Past." So fans are believed to be hoping for a "history repeats itself" moment for the lovebirds.
