Jennifer Lawrence has reportedly been branded as the face of "The Fappening" ever since nude photos (two batches) of the actress were hacked and leaked online. The first batch was released on August and the 24-year old had remained mum, letting her rep tell media she was taking legal actions against the still-unknown culprit. However, just recently the actress finally opened up about the scandal and eventually triggered a reaction among those who've shared her nude photos.

On her cover interview for the November issue of Vanity Fair magazine, the actress claimed the hack was clearly a violation of privacy. Jennifer Lawrence recalled that she feared for her career when her nude photos were leaked. She also spoke about how the act of sharing the photos is considered as a "sex crime." Telling contributing editor Sam Kashner, Jennifer Lawrence claimed it's a "disgusting sexual violation" in which she blamed the various Web sites for sharing her nude photos.

"Just the fact that somebody can be sexually exploited and violated, the first thought that crosses somebody's mind is to make a profit from it is beyond me, "she said.

"I can't imagine being that thoughtless and careless and so empty inside," she added.

In the same interview, Jennifer Lawrence also called on those who have looked at her nude photos as being perpetuators of a sexual offense and claimed that they "should cover with shame" for what they've done. Apparently, her statements have touched a chord among the guilty perpetuators. According to The Daily Beast, the subreddit page r/fappeningdiscussion discussion, which hosted the images, has now started on a new topic to discuss Jennifer Lawrence's Vanity Fair interview. The site claimed many users have apparently admitted to their deed of "sexual offense" based on their comments.

Reddit user spoke in behalf of the other perpetuators and admitted to have done a sexual violation. The user claimed that people are clearly perpetuating the photos by hoping that the leaks would "continue and expand in scope and scale." Another user nicknamed Frying Pansexual supposed that everyone who's seen and shared Jennifer Lawrence's nude photos are "being a**holes" and shouldn't pretend otherwise. Meanwhile, user Haquistadore outright admitted to being a "pervert" and called on other perpetuators to admit to being one.
