Maria Vanessa Perez is V. Stiviano's Real Name
Stiviano's real birth name is Maria Vanessa Perez, according to a report by Huffington Post. In 2010, she filed a petition to change her name to V. Stiviano, which was eventually granted by the court. She didn't explain the reason why she chose her new name, but on the papers she filed, she indicated that she was born from a rape case and that she had not been fully accepted because of her ethnicity.
She was Called "Barbie" in High School and Attended the Same School As Donald and Rochelle
Javier Cid told USA Today Sports that Stiviano, who was in his civics and economics class, was "smart, enthusiastic, and mature" and she was nicknamed "Barbie." "Which kind of says a lot about her and who she wants to be," Mr. Cid said. "Barbie, someone that just wants to have the car, the house, the clothes, the designer stuff," he added.
Stiviano graduated in Roosevelt High School in 2000, while Donald and Rochelle graduated from the same school in 1952.
She Allegedly Met Donald Sterling at the 2010 Super Bowl
Stiviano allegedly met Donald Sterling at the 2010 Super Bowl, according to the lawsuit filed by Donald's wife Rochelle in March. Ever since then, the duo had been in a relationship.
She Has Received Luxury Cars from Donald
Donald has reportedly given Stiviano a number of luxury cars since they got together. She has received a Ferrari, a Range Rover, and two Bentleys.
She Worked As a Waitress
Stiviano's laywer Mac Nehoray said that she used to work as a waitress before she got associated with Donald, Los Angeles Times reported. Stiviano has also worked as a volunteer helping victims of crime before she started working as an archivist for Donald.
Legal Battles with Donald's Wife
In March, Donald's wife of 50 years Rochelle filed a lawsuit against Stiviano. Rochelle filed the court case to regain possession of a million-dollar apartment, luxury cars and wealth. Rochelle stated in the lawsuit that she wanted all the property transferred to her. According to the lawsuit, Stiviano plotted a scheme which involves befriending and seducing older men, eventually tricking the latter to transfer their wealth and property to her name.
