Fans are eagerly looking forward to any update on Paul Walker's much-anticipated movie "Fast & Furious 7." The movie is still in production and still adding names to its star studded cast. According to the latest update, franchise super star Vin Diesel confirmed the new cast member, Latin- American musician Romeo Santos.

The casting news comes from publication called Deadline. On May 22, 2014, the Web site reported that Romeo Santos was joined by "Fast & Furious 7" actor Vin Diesel onstage at his Thursday night concert in Staples Center in Los Angeles. The announcement was made by Diesel, who surprised Romeo's fans with the big news. Not revealing much about the role, Vin Diesel told the crowd that Romeo Santos will be a part of franchise's seventh instalment.

"I came here tonight to tell you that Romeo is in 'Fast & Furious 7'," Vin Diesel announced to the crowd during Romeo's sold-out concert on May 22.

Romeo Santos is a Grammy- nominated and enormously popular American singer. New York City based musician was former lead singer of the Bachata band called Aventura.

He is a "chart-topping" singer who has reached at the top of Billboard Latin charts and more. He started pursuing his passion for music quite early in life, at the age of ten. He went solo and parted ways from his group and released his first solo album "Formula, Vol. 1" in the year 2011. His songs topped Hot Latin Songs and Tropical Songs chart.

Romeo Santos will debut his acting career in "Fast & Furious 7."Besides Vin Diesel and late Paul Walker, the singer will be starring alongside Michelle Rodriguez, Jason Statham, Jordana Brewster, Ludacris, Kurt Russell, Dwayne Johnson and Tyrese Gibson in "Fast 7." The film that revolves around Ian Shaw's (Jason Statham) revenge from Dominic Torretto (Vin Diesel) is expected to release on April 10, 2015.
