According to Hollywoodlife.com report, an eyewitness described the car crash as "massive explosion."

It has been reported that the "Fast & Furious" actor was in the passenger seat of his red Porsche Carrera GT along with a friend. The car crashed into a light pole or tree and caught fire. This happened in the community of Valencia in Santa Clarita area which is about 30 miles north of Hollywood.

On the day of the accident, Paul Walker was taking part in a charity function that intended to raise funds for the Philippines Typhoon Haiyan victims. It is said the charity event was organized by his organization named Reach Out Worldwide.

According to the eyewitness of the fatal car crash, the driver had lost control of the car before colliding with the light pole or tree.

"We were missed getting hit by them by like 30 seconds," told the eyewitness of the car crash to HollywoodLife.com.

According to the reports, the eyewitness could not gauge the reason why the driver lost control over the car. But the accident has been described as "extremely violent" and "explosive" by the Web site.

"The car burst into flames immediately and split a tree in half. The flames were way too big and fast-moving."

"They couldn't do anything," revealed the eyewitness referring to the actor and driver caught up in the collision.

The driver of the car has been identified as Roger Rodas. He was a friend of the actor and owner of store of sophisticated automobiles Always Evolving.
