Vin Diesel has all the needed traits, physically and figuratively speaking, to bring to life a comic book hero in a live action. Thus, the news that he may play another character from the Marvel Comic Universe, aside from voicing the character of a tree, is quite exciting.

In an interview with io9, the “Furious” franchise star said that he could expand his involvement with Marvel projects, saying “I can totally be something [else] with Marvel.”

Diesel, who is the voice of Groot in the upcoming installment of “Guardians of the Galaxy, ” said that his physical presence is likely to be used for a non-speaking character.

“We’ve heard a lot of talk about Marvel wanting to have me play a character that doesn’t have my voice. So my voice is used for Groot and my presence is used for the other character,” he said.

There are a few non-speaking characters owned by Marvel such as Psionex’s Asylum or Mute, but for now, all speculations point to the character of Black Bolt, the king of Inhumans.

Rumours of him playing the character surfaced when Diesel himself posted on his official Facebook page Aug. 9, 2014, “Vin and Marvel… you all made it happen! I get the strange feeling that Marvel thinks I’m Inhuman… Haha.”

For those who are not familiar with the Marvel comics and Marvel Cinematic Universe, Bolt is a character whose whisper is so strong that it could destroy a house. This is why the character is forced to remain silent at all times. The character will join the MCU once the film “Inhumans” is released on July 12, 2019.

There were rumours that the film has been relegated to the backburner, but Marvel Studios’ has yet to issue an official statement confirming that.

Meanwhile, Devin Faraci took to Twitter and said that according to his Marvel sources, no one would be more surprised than Marvel Studios should "Inhumans" gets cancelled.
