Robert Pattinson’s girlfriend, Kristen Stewart has countless reasons to smile! Often pictured mopy, sourly and with grumpy, looking face, those following her closely could attest that Kristen has been frequently beaming lately, with her very rare, genuine smiles. And as Rob’s girl celebrated her 23rd birthday, there’s no doubt that she has come full circle after a very difficult year in 2012 and 2013 marks a new beginning - - hopefully continuously and for good, if circumstances allow her.

Even those close to Kristen could never tell what the 23-year old birthday celebrant had suffered following the high-profile and much scandalized, Summer fling last year, with Snow White and Huntsman director, Rupert Sanders. Not only had she risked her great relationship with amazing boyfriend, Robert with the unfortunate ‘momentary indiscretion.”

"I'm deeply sorry for the hurt and embarrassment I've caused to those close to me and everyone this has affected. This momentary indiscretion has jeopardized the most important thing in my life, the person I love and respect the most, Rob. I love him, I love him, I'm so sorry," Kristen said in her painful apology when the news about the cheating scandal rocked the industry.

Kristen had also put her career as a professional actress and entertainment personality. Her mistake had cost her a couple of projects after being dropped when the cheating scandal broke out.

Rob’s girlfriend was even rumored not to be returning in the sequel of Snow White and the Huntsman but her supposed cohort in the publicized affair, Rupert was reportedly being asked to direct its sequel. Only months after was there any change in earlier reports and the table has been turned with Kristen reportedly coming back as Snow White and Sanders may not have a chance to direct her any longer.

Ironically, Kristen’s role as Snow White, like Mary Lou in On the Road or Mallory in Welcome to the Rileys, has been receiving rave reviews and Kristen is even getting awards and nominations for a character that’s notably a far cry from Bella Swan of the Twilight Series.

Kristen came out a big winner at the 2013 Kids’ Choice Awards when she nabbed the major award as Favorite Movie Actress (for The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 2). But when she was voted the Favorite Female Buttkicker (for her role as Snow White in Snow White and the Huntsman) at KCA 2013, with all things put in perspective, the award meant more than just beating out Oscars 2013 Best Actress winner, Jennifer Lawrence.

Winning not just one but two major categories at KCA meant more than just two trophies. It means a whole lot world than getting slimed either. Yes, for some. But not for Kristen. Coming out as KCA big winner means that the kids who have helped Kristen to her superstardom in Hollywood’s entertainment industry have forgiven her as much as Robert welcome her in his arms.

Robert and the teens who have also supported her are two great reasons for Kristen to smile and being in their world as she turns 23 this year means that the dark days for Kristen is over. This doesn’t mean that all is forgotten as the scandal really happened and it rocked the world of Robert, the millions of fans and the whole of Hollywood. But Kristen beat it. She survived it.
