Roger Federer is currently competing at the Swiss Indoors that is currently taking place in his hometown, Basel, Switzerland. Federer was spotted sporting a new haircut and wearing a new zebra-inspired shirt from Nike.

After parting ways with Coach Paul Annacone because of his losses in New York and Shanghai, Federer seems to be back on track as he had won against Denis Istomin in the second round of the Swiss Indoors on Wednesday. Federer lost in the first set, but he had quickly gained his momentum and won the last two sets 4-6, 6-3, and 6-2. The hometown fans of World No 7 were extremely worried at first, but Federer showed them that he can come back after a slow start and turn the tables on Istomin.

"I made a lot of errors especially on the forehand," said Federer. "I was risking too much and it was just not paying off, I knew I had to cut that risk and I was lucky enough to win," added Federer. "I began fighting back and I just got better as the match continues and I am very glad that I was able to turn it around because I really needed a match like this," said Federer.

With his win over Istomin, Federer has just booked his place in the quarterfinals of the Swiss Indoors.

Federer has indeed been through a tough time since March after suffering from back injuries, and he is definitely looking for a strong finish to the most difficult season in his professional tennis career.

Federer seems to be determined to win at the Swiss Indoors to qualify for the Association of Tennis Professionals (ATP) World Tour Finals happening in November at the 02 Arena in London. What is more? With Richard Gasquet's loss to Michael Llodra of France, Federer's chance of qualifying for the ATP World Tour Finals has undoubtedly improved.
