They are just three of the most popular female stars who earn more than their partners in life, whether they are still married or already divorced. The recently separated couple Kim Kardashian and Kris Humphries is a great example. The basketball player may be taller than the gorgeous socialite but Kim's money is way bigger than his bank account.

According to a research made by Hollywood Life, Kim earns about $5.45 million each year compared to her ex-husband who earns about $3.2 million as a player for the New Jersey Nets.

When it comes to the movies, the power couple Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie will not be left behind. But in their own financial race, Pitt seems tp be falling short of Angelina's paycheck. Movies of Angelina like 'Salt' and 'The Tourist' earned millions of dollars compared to Pitt's recent earning of $20 million for 'Inglourious Basterds.'

Another Hollywood couple Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick also makes it to the list with the actress bringing home about $275,000 per episode of 'The Closer' where she stars in. On the other hand, her hubby actor is currently concentrating on being a house husband to their kids.

In the music scene, Katy Perry earned about $44 million between the time range of 2010 and 2011 according to a Forbes report. And that's about six times more than the reported net worth of her ex-hubby's $6.6 million.
