Fergie of the Black Eyed Peace wants a baby. The 36-year-old singer who married "Transformers" actor Josh Duhamel is planning to get pregnant soon.

The married couple could not wait to start a family of their own. It is basically the reason why Fergie will be on indefinite leave from the group. There were rumors of singer Ashanti taking her place while she is not around. The singer said married life is great and is definitely looking forward to getting back onstage and showing off her new costumes and hair.

"Am I getting broody? Oh, definitely!," Fergie excitedly told Cosmopolitan magazine. "I definitely want kids, but just not while I am touring with the Peas. It is not pragmatic for me to be doing 100 walkovers with a bun in the oven, so I am going to leave that for afterwards," the singer said.

Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ferguson, will have plenty of opportunities to practice making babies as her husband is planning to fly to see her and spend time with her since actor Josh Duhamel has also a busy schedule with his acting career.

"He will come out to visit me sporadically, depending on his schedule, because he is working on new things all the time. Just like always, he will come out," the excited mom-to-be stated.

"I am getting my wardrobe together which is so much fun for me. My hairstyles are going to be different. I am really excited about the new look. It is a little more futuristic, and I am excited for it," Fergie stated to Us Weekly magazine. "We're never going to be at this time of our lives again so we have to make the most of it," she further added.

The other members of the Black Eyed Peas are not the only ones who will miss Fergie as she takes a break. The music group's millions of fans will be definitely looking forward to seeing Fergie back and performing again on the stage.
