Ferrari has paid a tribute to retired German Racing Legend Michael Schumacher for his first Formula One (F1) victory at the Spanish Grand Prix. The racing star remains in a medically induced coma.

Fernando Alonso and Kimi Raikkonen were present in the big team photo with a motivational and inspiring message for Schumacher. "Remembering your first win with us #Forza Michael," the banner read.

"Forza" is an Italian word used to cheer for someone. In Schumacher's case, "forza" is a way of telling the 45-year-old seven-time world champion to keep on fighting for his life. The tribute was made to commemorate Schumacher's first victory for Team Ferrari at the Spanish Grand Prix in 1996. Watch the highlights of the racing event here.

Schumacher was signed by Ferrari in 1996. Schumacher's performance at the 1996 Spanish Grand Prix was remarkable. In such awful wet conditions and after a bad start which made him fell back to the sixth position, Schumacher still managed to keep calm and maintain his composure, eventually winning the race in the end. The 1996 Spanish Grand Prix was held on June 2, 1996 at the Circuit de Catalunya.

The athelete won driver's titles with Team Ferrari for five consecutive years from 2000 to 2004.

Schumacher is still being treated at the Grenoble University Hospital after his skiing crash in December, according to German newspaper Bild as reported by HKcarworld.com.

"Bild's information is that Schumacher has not yet moved to a rehab clinic," wrote the German newspaper.

"Sabine Kehm only wants to make new statements when there are significant changes," Bild added.

It was in the middle of April when Kehm spoke about Schumacher's condition. She denied the reports claiming Schumacher has already woken up from coma. But she shared Schumacher had moments of consciousness and awakening.

Schumacher suffered brain trauma when he fell from 3,000 feet in a skiing accident in December. Schumacher was skiing with his son at a ski resort in the French Alps.
