An exploration firm declared on Monday its recent reverse circulation (RC) infill drilling results at Davidson Creek area for its pre-feasibility study.

FerrAus Limited released a statement today that it currently completed 18,648 metres in 180 drill holes last April. The feasibility program started in January 2010.

“The bulk of the drilling comprised 100 metre infill lines to the existing 200 metre drill line spacing. The drill line density covering this part of the Davidson Creek Area now stands at 100 metres by 50 metres, which is required before consideration can be given to a resource upgrade higher than an Inferred Category level,” the company statement said.

FerrAus said the results of the program will be utilized as a new resource model for Davidson Creek.

It was noted that a 55 per cent cut-off from Fe content was used during the RC infill drilling, which shows an intersections of more than 50 metres. The company said best result so far was at 92 metre intersection at 59.93 per cent Fe content.

The firm also revealed that Snowden Mining Industry Consultants has been tasked to complete the new resource estimate.

FerAuss Limited chief executive Mike Amundsen said its pre feasibility study is on track and is expected to be done during the third quarter of fiscal year 2010.

"These results will contribute data for the upgrade of resources to an indicated category required for the PFS.

"Within the next month we are also expecting to receive results from additional drilling at the Mirrin Mirrin Prospect.”

Mr. Amundsen added the company is currently ahead on its project studies and its metallurgical test work will provide ore properties for mine planning and processing design plant.

FerrAus Limited focuses on discovery and production on ferrous raw materials, including iron ore, manganese, and nickel.
