Puerto Rico suffered the worst-case scenario on Monday night losing to the unheralded Senegal team, 82-75 and then losing top guard Carlos Arroyo to injury.

Puerto Rico dropped their second game in as many games and will face a must-win situation over Euro powerhouse Greece, which beat the Philippines and Senegal earlier in the group stages of the 2014 FIBA World Cup in Spain.

Arroyo was sprained his ankle against the Senegalese and was taken to the hospital afterwards. Initial reports have stated that Arroyo will be out of the World Cup.

The absence of Arroyo should be a big blow for Puerto Rico against Greece. In seven head-to-head meetings, Greece has the edge 6 wins against 1 loss with the Greek carrying a six-game winning streak over the Puerto Ricans since 1996.

The 5-foot-10 Barea averages 19.5 points and 4.0 assists in two games thus far while Balkman had a game-high 21-point and 7-rebound performance in the loss versus Senegal making 9-of-13 shots from the field.
