Looks like Luis Suarez will not see the length of a soccer field for months.

FIFA has denied the motion for reconsideration of Luis Suarez for the lengthy ban imposed by the organization in connection with the biting incident during the group stage match in the 2014 World Cup.

The Uruguay and Liverpool player still has another avenue to prevent the permanency of the ban. He has ten days to lodge an appeal against the suspension with the Court of Arbitration for Sports and he if he does so in time, he can request for an immediate cessation on the imposition of the sanction.

The controversial player is facing a biting incident for the third time. He faced similar situations in Ajax in the Dutch league and Liverpool in the English Premier League. This time he was suspended for nine competitive international matches, four months from all football related activity and required to pay a hefty fine of 100,000 Swiss francs ($112,000). During Uruguay's 1-0 win over Italy, Sanchez was found guilty of biting the shoulder of Italian Giorgio Chiellini which was missed during the game by match officials.

FIFA revealed the decision to quash the appeal Thursday as it tries to clean up the sport. It rejected not only the personal appeal of Sanchez but also the Uruguay football federation's appeal.

As per ESPN.com, a statement from FIFA read: "The FIFA Appeal Committee has decided to reject the appeals lodged by both the Uruguayan player Luis Suárez and the Uruguayan FA, and to confirm the decision rendered by the FIFA Disciplinary Committee on 25 June 2014 in its entirety."

Suarez has already apologized publicly for his actions and his show of remorse impressed the Uruguayan Football Association who defended their star player. He is also heavily linked to a transfer of mother club from Liverpool to Bracelona, teams which met a few weeks earlier to facilitate his transfer. Said move is not covered by the FIFA sanctions.
