Jamie Dornan did not enjoy spanking his co-star Dakota Johnson while filming the book-turned-movie, "Fifty Shades of Grey." It is not possible to enjoy the sex scenes, the actor says.

In an interview with The Guardian's The Observer, the actor said that the people who assume that he enjoyed the spanking scenes between Christian Grey and Ana are all mistaken. "Anyone who thinks actors get turned on doing sex scenes in films is mistaken," Dornan said. "There are dozens of hairy men standing around, moving cables and lighting equipment. That's not sexy unless you're into being watched, which I'm not."

There are some concerns about how the film version of "Fifty Shades of Grey" will be like, as the book has explict nude and sex scenes. Dornan has said that he won't be doing full-frontal nudity for the film. "You want to appeal to as wide an audience as possible without grossing them out. You don't want to make something gratuitous, and ugly, and graphic," he said, adding that he thought that the film would be more effective if the viewers can just use their imaginations.

This is an indication of his reservations about making the movie look more sexually explicit than it should. Asked whether he has reservations about making a movie that some claimed are glorifying sexual violence against women, he said no and described himself as a feminist. He said that sexual violence is not being promoted by the movie because everything is done with consent. Christian and Anna did not do anything without contracts. The actor said no rape or forced situations take place.

Contrary to popular opinion, Dornan was not always popular with girls. He was not always the sexy hunk that he is today. He said that back when he just starting out and still studying, he was not very popular with the girls. This is because he was very young-looking. His sister's friends would call him "cute" and he hated that. It's the last thing he wanted to hear when he was a skinny and a baby-faced teenager.

Last year, he also played a sexual sadist in "The Fall." This plus his enigmatic and sexually-dominant character in "Fifty Shades" makes people wonder what it is about him that makes him so good for such roles. When asked by the Telegraph, the actor said he does not know.
