Emma Watson was reportedly talking with the producers of "Fifty Shades of Grey" for the role of Anastasia Steele. Is the game over for all the other actresses, i.e. Alexis Bledel, who can pull off the controversial character?

Not just yet.

The film's producers, Mike De Luca and Dana Brunetti, have made clarifications on Twitter over the casting rumours.

"@teammattbomer @tsalcedo2 @DanaBrunetti no one's been cast or even approached yet, all just rumors. writer and director first," De Luca tweeted, mentioning some of those who tweeted about the premature casting reports.

"All of the rumors on #FiftyShades are just that - rumors. No one has been cast in any role. We have to get a writer and director first," echoes Brunetti.

Not everyone is thrilled over Emma Watson being cast as Anastasia Steele. One Twitter user [@emmadaviex] shouted out:

"Apparently Emma Watson is the front runner to play Anastasia in 50 Shades of Grey... #pleaseNo #ruinedChildhood if that happens :("
