Screenwriter Kelly Marcel is currently working on the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie script but does she have Alexis Bledel or Kristen Stewart in mind as Anastasia Steele while writing the script? Fan polls have weighed in which Hollywood actress can perfectly portray the BDSM love interest of billionaire Christian Grey.
"Gilmore Girls" star Alexis Bledel may have already said goodbye to her young, sweet and innocent character Rory in the successful TV series. The 31-year-old actress' sex appeal and resemblance to what Anastasia Steele looks like with her delicate facial features and blue eyes instantly made her a fan favorite and a top contender for the female lead role.
Some casting reports considers "Twilight" star Kristen Stewart for the role of Anastasia Steele. However, author E.L. James declared that the 22-year-old actress is not included in her list of potential actresses and the "Fifty Shades" fans disagree with Kristen Stewart being cast as Anastasia Steele.
Meanwhile, Alexis Bledel has been tight-lipped when it comes to the Anastasia Steele role as well as the online casting buzz with her name constantly mentioned in numerous casting polls since last year. The actress is even paired with Christian Grey favorite, actor Matt Bomer, in the casting polls and fan-made "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie trailers.
The "Fifty Shades of Grey" film team has not yet officially cast an actress to become Anastasia Steele on the big screen. In the mean time, Alexis Bledel will just face tough competition with the other strong contenders like Felicity Jones, Emilia Clarke, Emma Watson, Alexandra Daddario, Shailene Woodley and Lucy Hale.
