People who have read the "Fifty Shades of Grey" novels will agree that actors Ian Somerhalder, Matt Bomer and Stephen Amell have the potential becoming Christian Grey on the big screen. The three top contenders for the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie gave their reactions on being constantly mentioned as the actor who could perfectly portray the much coveted lead role.
Ian Somerhadler has been expressing his interest for the role of Christian Grey but "The Vampire Diaries" actor still denies the casting rumors. "Oh man, there's nothing official. It's just talk, you never know," Somerhalder stated during an interview.
If the 34-year-old actor gets cast as Christian Grey, Ian revealed that he has already conducted a little research on the BDSM world. "Yeah, there's a website you can go to where you can just outfit your basement as a dungeon. So, you know, I thought I'd get prepared, just in case," the actor further added.
Another "Fifty Shades of Grey" fan favorite is actor Matt Bomer. His character and work experience in the film "Magic Mike" has apparently made the 35-year-old actor open to diverse roles including the BDSM practitioner Christian Grey.
In an interview with Metro, the "White Collar" actor was asked if he was interested in portraying Christian Grey. Matt Bomer simply replied: "No comment. That's my line on that. But it's very flattering that I've got fans who would like to see me in things."
Lastly, the hunky "Arrow" star Stephen Amell joins the on-going Christian Grey casting reports and even made it as one of the top choices for the role. The 31-year-old actor recently talked about being considered to portray the handsome yet dark billionaire.
"I got a link for a Christian Grey fan page and they put a picture of me as Oliver Queen on there. I'm doing kind of an a**hole smirk and it blew up. The 'likes' and the comments blew up," Amell revealed to WetPaint.
When asked about what he thinks starring the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movies, Stephen Amell said: "I mean if you think about it, it would be four movies, the last part being two parts. I don't even own a house yet. So I don't think that I'd be turning that down any time soon."
