"Fifty Shades of Grey" fans are patiently waiting for casting announcements. Given the film adaptation is set for a summer 2014 release, it's not surprising why readers of E.L. James best-selling erotica novel want clear and immediate news. Obviously, Universal Studios is having a hard time deciding who among Hollywood's hottest is best to play the lead role of Christian Grey. Well, here are five sexy shirtless stars with the potential to play Mr Grey.

Every reader of "Fifty Shades of Grey" is obsessed with the news of casting. Web polls from all over have named tons of actors and actresses fit to play the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. To date, the number one actor in the lead to play the role of Grey is none other than "Vampire Diaries" star, Ian Somerhalder. On the other hand, winning the polls for the role of Anastasia Steele is "Gilmore Girls" star, Alexis Bledel.

While these web polls aren't a sure indicator of these actors and actresses nabbing the role, it is quite enough to satisfy the hunger for an official cast. Universal Studios is obviously taking long in finding celebs to play the lead roles and given there isn't a director seated, casting will take a while longer.
