"Fifty Shades of Grey" costumes have been frequently spotted the past few days as Halloween parties are being held this time of the year. It could be too late now to plan your own '50 Shades' ensemble, but these photos could give you ideas for the next theme parties you'd attend.

It is difficult to imagine that there's someone out there who has not even heard about E.L. James' erotic trilogy. If you read daily news, if you interact with people who follow pop trends, chances are you have at least heard about Fifty Shades of Grey.

It was announced early this year that Universal Pictures and Focus Features have been chosen to produce the film adaptation of the trilogy. Casting rumours never ceased since then.

The central characters in the novel are rich business mogul Christian Grey and fresh college graduate Anastasia Steele. He is into sex and bondage; she is a sex virgin at the beginning of the story. Girl meets boy. She couldn't get him out of his mind. And he finds "there is something" about her that pulls him like a mysterious force. Eventually, they sign an agreement to formalize their sexual relationship. In the real world, "Fifty Shades of Grey" made history as the book became the fastest selling paperback of all time.

Critics frowned upon the weak prose style of the author, but avid readers raved about relating to the characters. Never before in this generation has sex and bondage became an openly celebrated fiction theme. "Fifty Shades" movie is now one of the most highly anticipated films next year.

On Twitter and other social networks, women announce they want a Christian Grey in their lives. Some guys react sarcastically, saying, "What's all the fuss about?" But some of them are understood to have been open to trying the Grey method in bed.

Now with the "Fifty Shades of Grey" themes in parties, people can expect to hear and see even more about the pop erotic fiction.
