A lot of "Fifty Shades of Grey" fans are praying so hard that actor Matt Bomer will be cast as the seductive billionaire Christian Grey in the upcoming movie adaptation. Sadly, it has not happened yet.

However, fans will still get the chance to see the "White Collar" actor in another upcoming movie that features an epic romance. According to reports, actor Matt Bomer joins the cast of the directorial debut of Oscar-winning screenwriter Akiva Goldsman's "A Winter's Tale."

The upcoming film also stars Hollywood legend Eva Marie Saint of "North By Northwest" and "True Blood" star Lucy Griffiths. "A Winter's Tale" is based on author Mark Helprin's 1983 novel of the same name and it will star Colin Farrell as a thief who breaks into the home of a wealthy man portrayed by actor William Hurt. Farrell's character then begins a relationship with the terminally ill daughter of the wealthy man and it will be portrayed by Jessica Findlay-Brown.

"A Winter's Tale" features an alternate version of New York, a battle of good against evil and a love story that spans centuries. There are also plenty of magic with time travel, a flying white horse and a cloud wall that could be a portal to a different world. In addition to the cast of this fantasy movie, Matt Bomer will also be joined by Will Smith and Russell Crowe who have agreed to take on small roles in the film. Smith and Crowe are also good friends with film director Akiva Goldsman.

Meanwhile, Matt Bomer's recent character as a male stripper in the film "Magic Mike" has helped in increasing his popularity as well as leading to the rumors that he will be cast as the male lead character in the upcoming "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie. Now that Matt Bomer has been cast in "A Winter's Tale," the story plot and the celebrity names involved in the film make it sound like this might be a pretty interesting movie to see.
