Carla Gugino to appear in three episodes
Emmy-nominated comedy actor Max Greenfield once said a frontal scene is fine should he be given the role of Christian Grey. On the Fox sitcom "New Girl," Greenfield will show he meant what he said.
Greenfield was nominated for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Comedy Series in this year's Emmy's. He plays the role of overconfident sex-crazed metrosexual Schmidt, one of the rommies in the Zooey Deschanel-led hilarious sitcom "New Girl." Despite his d-bag vibe, Schmidt is sometimes the gang's go-to guy when it comes to dating advice.
On the Emmy's red carpet last month, Greenfield was asked about his thoughts on the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey." What if he'd be offered to play the BDSM dominant Christian Grey?
"Yeah, that's not a problem. That's not the issue," Greenfield said, looking dead serious. "It's whether they want to see that much intensity on screen. I don't know who's involved with it right now, but I'm ready and available," he said, very Schmidt-ly.
In November, Schmidt will sign a sex contract the 'Fifty Shades' way. An official "New Girl" promo reads:
"As Jess' [Deschanel] job search kicks into high gear, the guys fear her time of the month is also affecting their physical and psychological well-being. Meanwhile, Schmidt begins a "50 Shades of Grey"-type of relationship with his corporate boss (guest star Carla Gugino), and Nick [Jake Johnson] gains wisdom from an unlikely - and mute - source."
In an interview with TV Line's Michael Ausiello, Greenfield talks about the Grey-ish New Girl story arc.
"It's a reverse 50 Shades of Grey," he said.
"She (Gugino) totally hits on me in a very aggressive way and I am little on the fence about whether to pursue it or not. And [then] she presents me with a sex contract."
The 'Grey' arc kicks off on November 13.
