The 'Fifty Shades of Grey' movie script will be out soon, as screenplay writer Kelly Marcel already started working on it earlier this month. Once it's done, producers will hire a director. And then it's time for casting. Could Australian actress Lauren Watson snag the role of the female lead, Anastasia Steele?

An online poll by Daily Quirk showed Watson ranked second place to Alexis Bledel as the most popular fan choice for the role of Christian Grey's Miss Steele.

Actresses who could pull the look and vibe of an unassuming naive fresh college graduate are favored for the female lead of 'Fifty Shades.' The actress who will play Ana has to be oozing with sex appeal, but in a subtle yet captivating way. Ana is a 21-year-old virgin at the beginning of the series, a generally quiet girl who would later agree to Grey's unconventional ways in bed.

Naturally, a lot of nudity is expected from the film adaptation of E.L. James' erotic trilogy. The top question typically asked to the prospective cast is whether or not they've read the book. Watson has answered this question.

"Yes, I have read the books! I didn't know anything about them and one of my friends said "GO! NOW! Get the books and read them today!" I couldn't argue with that! I got them and read them all within the week! I was hooked," Watson told Examiner.com.

'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie: Chace Crawford as Christian Grey?

"I'm a big fan of Chace Crawford. He could play anyone and it would work for me! I really like Matt Bomers look and Jessie Pavelka is another top candidate for me when I think of Christian's physical image. I don't think I can pick just one actor!! Whoever ends up with the job as casting director has some tough decisions ahead!" Watson is not one to play coy. Her interview shows she has the guts for the role, and producers have probably taken note of that.

Two Watsons have figured in the 'Fifty Shades' poll, with the other one being Emma Watson of the "Harry Potter" fame. Emma, however, has earlier slammed news reports associating her to 'Fifty Shades' when no offer has been made yet.

For her part, Bledel, who got over four thousands votes at the poll, has yet to share her thoughts on the subject.

Casting rumours and polls are done to tide the fans over, while the Fifty Shades of Grey movie is not even barely ready for production.
