Ian Somerhalder and Nina Dobrev are undeniably one of the hottest pairs in television today, not only that, they're also a real life couple. Although there are currently no confirmations yet on who will play the lead characters of the "Fifty Shades of Grey" movie adaptation, countless polls have been made online.

On top of the polls are Ian Somerhalder as one of the picks to play the coveted role of Christian Grey. Meanwhile, his ladylove, Nina Dobrev is also being considered by fans to take the role of Anastasia Steele.

When it comes to looks, Ian's piercing eyes alone can definitely win him the part as Christian Grey. While Nina's sweet and innocent look would perfectly match the character for Anastasia Steele. But even though they have great potential to win the roles, there are also other credible actors and actresses topping the poll lists.

The pair who have started their romance after working together in the series "The Vampire Diaries" seem to be going strong throughout time. They have recently posted a picture when they visited a sick "Vampire Diaries" fan in a Toronto hospital.

Nina and Ian teamed up to make their fan's wish come true. In a special video, they talked to their fan, Kayla, and informed her that they will be dropping her a visit.

"We're on The Vampire Diaries, and we know that you watch the show," Nina said. "And we know about you, too! We've been following you. We just wanted to say hi."

"So we just wanted to make sure that your schedule's clear on Saturday, because we want to come see you [in Toronto]" Ian sweetly said. "Clear your schedule."
