"Fifty Shades of Grey" written by E.L. James continues to be a nationwide obsession. With the film set for release on August 24, 2014, it's not surprising why everyone is still hooked. Casting calls for the lead roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele have already been announced. As for the role of Kate Kavanagh, two fan favourites are competing for the part. Who is the better Kate: Amber Heard or Blake Lively?

Only one year more to go before the film adaptation of "Fifty Shades of Grey" hits cinemas nationwide. The official cast is of the prime importance and finally after months, Director Sam Taylor Johnson and Producer Michael De Luca have announced the casting call for the lead roles. Of course, all the attention is on finding the perfect Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. How about the other lead characters that need filling out?

This includes Kate Kavanagh of which was describe in the book as follows: "Kate has strawberry blonde hair and is described as being domineering, persistent, beautiful, vivacious and willing to do whatever it takes to get her own way."

Quite a few Hollywood blondes have been named suitable for the role. However, the strongest contenders for the part have been Amber Heard and Blake Lively. With both blondes being vivacious and extremely good-looking, it's no surprise these two have managed to stay fan favourites for long. Yet, only one actress can prevail.
