'Fifty Shades of Grey' Movie Casting: Chace Crawford as Christian Grey & Rachel McAdams as Anastasia Steele [PHOTOS]
The casting rumours continue with "Fifty Shades of Grey." With no auditions being held at the moment, fans have been left to speculate for a potential cast. The latest names on the list to star as Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele is "Gossip Girl's" Chace Crawford and "Mean Girls" Rachel McAdams respectively.
Universal Studios and Focus Features are definitely taking their time in announcing the auditions for the roles of Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. With rumours of a director already been hired for "Fifty Shades of Grey", fans are excited for the official cast reveal.
Countless names have been mentioned for the lead parts since E.L. James announced the film adaptation for the series late last year. From "Vampire Diaries" star, Ian Somerhalder to "Man of Steels" Henry Cavill, these hunks have been dubbed the perfect Christian Grey.
However, one name refuses to be left out of the dark. "Gossip Girl" star, Chace Crawford has been widely hyped as the next Christian Grey. Crawford along with Ed Westwick have been dubbed as potential Greys who are noticeable younger-looking as compared to Bomer, Somerhalder and Cavill. Yet, with all the hype on "Fifty Shades", would Crawford say yes to the role of Grey?
"I would love the challenge... I have not read the books, but what I know is that it is risqué, and to be honest, anything to shake up from the way I have been going would be good," stated Crawford, adding, "Hey, if they ask me to come and read, I would definitely do so. I don't even know what the character is like; I haven't read anything or heard anything about it!"
In a report by MStars, Chace has been paired off with "The Notebook" actress, Rachel McAdams as Anastasia Steele. The report claims fans love this new pairing but would author E.L. James approve of it as well?
